What our family is thankful for

Thanksgiving is here again! A time for family members everywhere to gather around the table, share a delicious meal together, and reflect on everything they have to be thankful for.

The Doctor and the Dad’s family decided to start gettin’ our thanks on a couple days early this year – and we jotted down some notes about it, too. So without further ado, here is what our family is thankful for this year!

The Five-Year-Old Daughter:
I’m thankful for my whole family and my friends. And I’m thankful for two more things: the food and the water we get. And animals.

The Three-Year-Old Son:

The stuff we had in the tent.

The Mommy + The Daddy:

…You mean s’mores? You’re thankful for s’mores?

The Three-Year-Old Son:

Yeah. And my trash truck that I always like.

The Five-Year-Old Daughter:

I had more important stuff.

The Mommy:

I’m thankful for my amazing and complete family – my loving husband and all my wonderful children. I’m also thankful for having a flexible career that I can do while still taking care of my beautiful family.

The Daddy:

I’m thankful to live in a place where I don’t have to drive my car all that often. I’m thankful to have a wife and kids who crack me up at least twice a day. And I’m thankful for NBC’s The Voice, because the competitive yet good-natured ribbing those celebrity coaches give one another is one of this country’s true national treasures.

The Mommy:

I know it sounds like you’re joking, but you actually do love The Voice.

The Daddy:

…Yes. I do.

The Four-Month-Old Baby:

(Says nothing. But we’re pretty sure she’s thankful for having the most super-fun, super-sweet big brother and big sister ever. And also that she figured out how to finagle her thumb into her mouth so she can suck it. That is totally her jam.)

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Hope you have as much to be thankful for as we do!
