Valentine’s Day is almost here! It’s the perfect time to celebrate that special someone in your life…or if you have a big loving family like we do, those special someones.
That’s why this year, the Doctor and the Dad decided to ask all the members of our family to write love poems – to our family!
It turned out to be a quick, easy, fun and hilarious family activity – both for all three of our kids, and for us adults. And it’s one that we highly recommend you do with your family too. We came up with all of our poems over a single dinner, but you could do it pretty much anytime and anywhere you want.
So without further ado, here are our family’s love poems…to our family!
The Six-Year-Old Daughter:
Roses are red
Violets are blue
I think you’re a great family
I really really do
The Four-Year-Old Son:
I love you so much
Much such buch
Buch?!?
I said buch!
I love buch so much
I am so guch!
The Dad:
I used to love swearing and booze
And sleeping through every last snooze
Though kids killed that party
They captured my hearty
There’s no other life I’d now choose
The One-Year-Old Baby Girl:
Mommy
um Daddy
um Fwawy
um Myammy
Me yah yah
Yah yah
The Doctor:
My daughters are great
My son is the bomb
You’re all giving me a headache
But I still love being your Mom
We’d love to hear what love poems your families came up with! Please share your favorites in the comments below – and Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody!
