Over the last year, our family watched a whole bunch of Peanuts holiday specials – on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Valentine’s Day – and we wrote down all the amazingly adorable things our kids said about them.
Well now we’re back to cover the one big Charlie Brown special we missed!
So without further ado, here’s how our now-five-year-old daughter Sammy and her nearly three-year-old brother Freddy reacted when we showed them “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” for the very first time!
(We think it’s a real treat!)

Valentine’s Day is almost upon us! That means love is in the air, and yet another Peanuts holiday special is airing on TV.
So just like we did on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s, the Doctor and the Dad sat down this week with our four-year-old daughter Sammy and her two-year-old brother Freddy to let them watch “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” for the very first time.
(Then we secretly wrote down all the ridiculously cute things they said during the show.)
Hope you love their comments as much as we did!

Today’s question comes from a mother in desperate need of a wet wipe:
The other day the kids and I grabbed a quick lunch. I was trying to corral everyone over to a table while also balancing all of our food, drinks and a milkshake on a tray, when the milkshake naturally fell, bounced off a chair and spilled EVERYWHERE (including on other people), before finally landing upside-down on my sandal. At that moment, my three-year-old asked, “Mama, can you lift me up on my seat? And can you open my toy?” …Why does my preschooler constantly ask me to do things for her when it’s obvious that I’m already really busy? Does she have absolutely no empathy, or is it an age thing, or what?

We did it over Thanksgiving. We did it at Christmas. And now we’re doing again to ring in the new year!
When we sat down with our four-year-old daughter Sammy and her two-year-old brother Freddy to show them “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown” for the very first time last week, we did more than just complete the Big Three Peanuts Holiday Special Trifecta in a single year…
…we also made some hilariously adorable family movie night magic!
Here’s how our little “peanuts” reacted to the show:

All the Peanuts holiday TV specials came out approximately forever ago. So for grownups like us who have seen them a good thirtysomething times by now, they’re not particularly new or exciting anymore.
Unless you watch them with your kids, of course.
When our family checked out “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” together a couple weeks ago, the results were about as adorable as they could be. So we decided to do it again.
Here’s how our four-year-old daughter Sammy (and her two-year-old brother Freddy) reacted when they watched “A Charlie Brown Christmas” for the very first time:

Most of us adults have been exposed to Peanuts comic strips and cartoons since we were children. So by the time we become parents, we know exactly what to expect each time another Charlie Brown holiday special hits the air.
But for our kids, it’s a whole other story.
When our four-year-old daughter Sammy watched “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” for the very first time this Thanksgiving Eve, she entertained us with a truly fresh perspective on an old classic.
